Safety Harbor's community arts center turns ten with music, hands-on art and a Sunday umbrella parade, mixing free programs and ticketed concerts.

Safety Harbor Art and Music Center celebrates ten years with a Creative Carnaval weekend of music, collaborative art and community festivities. Costumes are encouraged. Friday and Saturday concerts require paid tickets; the Saturday and Sunday community art projects are free. Sunday closes with an umbrella parade and free outdoor concerts by Urban Gypsies of Florida and Selwyn Birchwood. Bring a chair; a free reservation is encouraged for Birchwood. The city's Saturday morning Christmas parade is a separate downtown event, not an activity held at the arts center.
