The Histotechnologist II processes surgical, autopsy, and study specimens for pathologic diagnosis. Responsibilities include tissue fixation, processing, freezing, microtomy, frozen sectioning, and staining slides for microscopic examination by the Pathologist. Performs related special staining techniques, which may include immunohistochemical, immunoflourescent, and enzyme histochemical stains.
