Job Summary
The Procurement/Systems Specialist is a systems expert responsible for providing system expert support to end users in procuring non-routine/non-standard equipment and goods and services. The specialist also serves as a liaison between the end user and vendor to ensure the appropriate vendor is identified and utilized according to current policies and procedures, as well as any existing contracts. The specialist is proficient in the usage of the PeopleSoft application and has a working knowledge of the requisition and receiving processes in order to provide in-depth product and vendor information, coordinate product evaluations, collect and analyze data, and manage vendor relationships. The specialist also serves as a team lead in the implementation, maintenance, and management of the Cath Lab system. In addition, the specialist is responsible for assisting with aligning business requirements to system capabilities and leads assigned system projects.
Required Qualifications
- Require a minimum of two (2) years of purchasing or inventory/equipment management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer proficiency and experience in the advanced use of computer applications such as PeopleSoft, and database queries in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PSQuery, etc.).
- Prefer the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Prefer demonstrated proficiency in project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of duties.
- Prefer the ability to take initiative, work with little supervision and solve problems independently.
Mandatory Education
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Preferred Education
BD: Bachelor Degree
