About the role
PURPOSE Operates basic saw types such as pop-up, miter, web saws, etc. to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to work orders by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews work order to determine cut(s) to be made. Adjusts saw for required cuts. Adjusts speed of saw and feed rolls. Observes automatic feeding of lumber to saw or pushes end of lumber into feed rolls. Stacks cut lumber after processing. Advises supervisor of dull saw blades. Other duties as …
